Founder and Executive Director of Choices Recovery Services, a “special needs” substance abuse treatment/mental health rehabilitation program for those with co-occurring mental health/substance abuse recovery challenges. Over the course of five years, he continues to develop the Choices Program Model, a unique system- of care-approach targeting those historically considered “Treatment Resistant/Treatment Failures” by other providers. This program was developed in response to a contract with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation –Division of Juvenile Justice (previously the California Youth Authority) for residential DJJ (parolee) placements living with co-occurring disorders.

Nationally and CA certified substance abuse counselor, nationally certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner, nationally certified forensic counselor, and CA certified addiction specialist. He has authored numerous articles on the subject of residential treatment/rehabilitation, healthy inter-agency collaboration, and community re-entry program development. He authored the book, “The Business of Sober Living”, variety of published articles, and wrote a series of program needs-assessment reports. Developed and acted as principle investigator in a variety of research studies. A CA licensed building contractor, experienced real estate developer, CFO with experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions, experienced business manager and consultant, software development manager, accredited public accountant and state certified tax preparer, BA Economics –UCLA.
